OPERATION & CONSTRUCTION

Dual-Cam Latch Release

Dual mechanical latches locked the guard in the upright position. The adjustable catches were designed for secure, rattle-resistant operation and access comparable to the truck hood latches.

The original XG 100G2 and XG 200G1 families used this two-hand system. Ex-Guard guards in this generation generally weighed 90–240 lb., substantially less than many full bumper replacements weighing 300–500 lb.
